Satellite Services
Satellite operators are highly efficient; they remotely control fleets of satellites 24 hours a day 7 days a week from a central Satellite Control Centre. Some ESOA members fly single satellites or small fleets while others fly fleets of over 50 satellites! But satellite operators do not provide services directly to end-users. They lease capacity on their satellites to customers who in turn provide - either directly or indirectly - services to paying customers. Satellite operators have a variety of partners: broadcasters, Internet service providers, telecommunications carriers (for long-distance telephone, cellular backhauling & IP trunking), governments and international bodies, mobile communications providers, airlines, ships, farmers, NGOs, oil companies and many others.
