Background
Europe's EU 2020 Strategy has set the bar high for regions to achieve selected targets. Innovative satellite solutions are contributing to these targets across the EU and in member regions of NEREUS, the Network of European Regions using Space Technologies. Little is known about these solutions, which are perceived as expensive and high-tech. Such myths prevent these modern services from reaching regions who are left with thousands of inhabitants disconnected from the Digital Era
