ITU Southern and Eastern Africa Workshop on the Use of Telecommunications/ICT for Disaster Management: Saving Lives

In line with ESOA's interest in promoting satellites for emergency communications, ESOA's past-chairman Christodoulos Protopapas was apppointed to the ITU's High-Level Panel for Emergency Telecommunications and ESOA participated in the ITU's latest event on Emergency Communications for Africa in Zambia.
In addition, it is worth noting that the UN's Inter-Agency Working Group on Emergency Telecommunications has identified the C-Band as the standard for all UN emergency communications.
