How do satellite signals travel from space to earth? Satellites ‘talk’ to people on earth using invisible radio frequencies that are part of the overall electromagnetic spectrum. All wireless signals have to use radio frequencies to travel and some frequencies are reserved for use by satellite signals. These frequencies are called ‘spectrum’.
