Become a member

The Board of Directors of ESOA decides, in its discretion, upon applications for membership of the Association. A candidate wishing to become a Member of the Association should submit a written request to that effect to the Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Applications for Supporting Membership must be accompanied by a letter from one Full member proposing the applicant's membership.

Applicants should fulfil the criteria below.

Criteria for Full Membership

Any company may be admitted as Full Member if:
•    It owns and operates one or more communication satellites on the European market
•    It has its headquarters in and is serving the territory of the European Union or the European Free Trade Area, and
•    It adheres to the objectives and supports the activities of the Association

Criteria for Supporting Membership

Any legal person may be admitted as Supporting Member if:
•    It carries on satellite-related activities
•    It adheres to the objectives and supports the activities of the Association
•    It has its headquarters in and is serving the territory of the European Union or the European Free Trade Area

Annual Fees

Full Members
The annual fee for Full Members of the Association is based on their consolidated annual turnover.
Turnover of less than €100 Million: €16,500
Turnover of €100 - 300 Million: €24,750
Turnover greater than €300 Million: €33,000

Supporting Members
The annual fee for all Supporting Members of the Association is €8,250.
